Chapter 5 part 1 - 3

                           Passive voice

Hi everyone! In this blog, we will learn about passive voice.

Passive voice is used to show the person or object that experiences an action rather than the person or object that performs an action.

The most important thing or the person becomes the subject of the sentences.

Passive voice is used in formal texts. Switching to passive voice make your writing clearer and easier to read.

Example:

- Active voice: The reporter announced the news.

- Passive voice: The news is announced by the reporter. -> "To be" + Past participle (V3)
